How do you know that the Psychic you've chosen to do a reading for you is a genuine provider?
This is probably the most frequently asked question. There are a few ways that can help you in making that choice easier.
Firstly, word of mouth is always the best advice, but this is not always possible.
When you are browsing through the advertisements for these services, whether they're in newspapers, magazines or on the internet, beware of claims such as 99% accurate, outrageous claims like that usually are exactly that, "outrageous". |
Be very careful of per minute charges. These can become extremely expensive and the longer they talk to you the more money they make. In many cases this is the only thing they're really interested in, they'll tell you what you want to hear so you'll think they're fantastic and before you know it you've been on the phone for a longer time than you antisipated. I have seen charges as high as $20.00 per minute so be very careful with these services.
I'm sure there are many Psychics working on these lines that are genuine but there is a very large majority in my opinion that are not.
Back in 1996 I did a program for the ABC about 1900 phone psychics, warning people against using those services as I really disliked them. I believe they give the metapsyical industry a very bad name. I had a client at the time that was calling these 1900 numbers regularly as she desperately needed answers; she had depression, was very lonely and found solitude in these people who are supposed to be caring spiritual people.
Unfortunately she became addicted to these lines and her phone bill went from $180 for three months to $52,000. The woman ended up losing her house over it all and obviously developed even worse depression as a result. Allthough this is an extreme example it is a real one and I have known of many more people who have had phone bills running into the thousands. It was these very situations that led me to doing the story for them so please be careful.
On the psychic websites you can usually read testimonials about the psychic you're interested in. These can give you a greater insight into the abilities of the reader. You can usually tell if the comments don't seem to be authentic by the lack of information on the writer.
Be aware also that unless you can actually see the person doing the reading there is a chance its one of many people working under their credentials, for this reason it's advisable to go with a live webcam reading. If you don't have that facility available on your computer try to choose one that offers both phone and webcam services.
Don't judge a book by it's cover either; Psychics come in all shapes and sizes. Most people have good intuition and if the information feels ok from beginning to end then it's probably a genuine service. If you feel they're a bit suss then you're probably right. The reader shouldn't have to ask you many, if any, questions. In my case, the less I know the better. This prevents misinterpretation of the reading. If they ask you lots of questions you'll find they're giving you what is known as a loaded reading.
Anyway I hope this information has helped you in making your selection a little safer and easier. Enjoy your journey. Kind regards Lozzie xo
